In this well designed editor screen, you can browse you photos with the top left folder tree panel, double click the photo thumbnails in the top right panel to add them to the photo album. By this way, you can easily organize your photo collections to photo vcd albums. There are several buttons for edit the photo albums. You can create photo album and add or delete photos to or from the Album. Add background music, double click the photo in the photo album to view the photo, to add text narration etc. All these works can be done in the photo vcd album editor.

while you finished the album, you can click the "Disc Menu" button in the toolbar to open this menu panel. You can choose a menu for your photo VCD from the menu templates on the right side. Each menu item in the screen stands for a photo album. You then can use the numeric keypad of your DVD remote control to select the album to view while display the photo VCD on Television with a DVD player.

After choosing a menu for your photo VCD album project, you can preview with the software before buring the photo album to Video CD. This screen simulate the remote control of your DVD player. You can check the photo sequence and interval,background music, text narration etc. If your photo album doesn't have background music, you can advance the photo slide by clicking the "Next" or "Prev" button.

What Can the Software Do For Me?

DVD Photo Slideshow Professional is a versatile yet easy-to-use software for creating slide shows that are playable on your home big screen TV with standard DVD VCD players. With just a few clicks, you can use DVD Photo Slideshow Professional to view and edit photos, create and organize your photo albums, add background music, burn your photo albums on a blank CD/R or CD/RW. After that, you can enjoy your creative works on your computer or TV through a DVD/VCD player.

Why my VCD DVD Player does not recongnize the burned CD?

The reason why some burned CDs cannot be played on your DVD VCD player is due to the "Read" ability of your DVD VCD player. Please make sure your DVD VCD player supports VCD 2.0 format. Even so, according to our test, some models of DVD VCD player (normally, old models) do not support some particular brand names of burned CD-R or CD-RW disc (especially for CD-RW disc). If this is your case, please turn to another brand name of blank CD-R disc (not CD-RW disc) to have a try. If there are still problems, please try to burn the CD-R with relatively low speed (say, the lowest speed your CD writer supports). Tips for play the burned CD: after insert the disc to the DVD player, please don not forget to press the "Play" button on your DVD player's remote control to play the photo slideshows.

When I play the burned CD, what should I do if I am required to turn on the "PBC"?

"PBC" means "PlayBack Control". It's a function for VCD 2.0 format to support playback of the disc menu. Please do not press any other buttons before you press the "Play" button. Otherwise, the main disc menu cannot be shown up. Sometimes, after you insert the burned disc into the DVD player, you see the blue screen on TV. If this is your case, you need to press the "Play" button before you press any digital button ( 1, 2, 3,..) on your DVD player's remote control to play the corresponding slide shows.

Why the size of my photos is only the quarter of the screen on TV?

When the photo is only the quarter of the screen on TV, you must be seeing the disc menu. Every disc menu selects the first photo of your photo slideshow you’ve prepared in the first step. When you see the main disc menu, please remember to press the digital button ( 1, 2, 3,..) on your DVD player's remote control to play the corresponding slide shows.

Why I cannot move forward and previous of my photos when I am using the simulation?

The simulation does not provide the function of moving forward and previous of pictures. So, you need to try this with your real DVD player’s remote control.

Can I modify or add new templates of the Disc Menu by myself?

Yes. But it needs patience. You can try to modify the templates by the following steps.
-Go to template folder under the set up folder of DVD Photo Slideshow Professional(Normally, it is at C:\Program Files\DVD Photo Slideshow Professional\template). You will find some .ini files (they are text files, you can open them with any edit tools.) and some sub-directories with the same name. You can see that there are so many parameters for the .ini file. So, it’s not easy to create your own templates with correct position shown on your TV. (Anyway, you can have a try if you are patient enough. Our next version will let users make their own disc menu more conveniently.)
-Go to the corresponding sub-directory, change the .JPG or .BMP files to change the parts of the template listed on the Disc Menu.

What is the resolution of my photos shown on TV?

DVD Photo Slideshow Professional optimizes your digital photos and use the High Resolution Still Picture format which is supported by DVD/SVCD. This technique makes photos look great on TV. The resolution of the image shown on TV can be as high as 704x576.

Why the program does not recognize my CD writer?

Please make sure the ASPI driver is correctly setup. Please refer to http://www.dvd-photo-slideshow.com/support.html to help you install the ASPI driver and run the "ASPI Test" program.

What's the limitation of the trial version and where can I input the registration code?

When you are using the trial version of DVD Photo Slideshow Professional, you can only burn maximum 36 photos into each CD. After you purchase our product, you will be provided a registration name/code and a URL to download the full version. In the full version, there will be a dialog from menu "Help->Register..." where you can input the registration name and code.

Play photo VCD on TV with DVD player

You can show your burned photo video CD on home big screen televesion with a DVD player. Most DVD players available today can support the Video CD that DVD Photo Slideshow Professional created. However, you should check your DVD player manual whether your DVD player supports Video CD 2.0 standard.

After inserting your photo album CD into the DVD player's tray, you will see a blank screen with PBC and CD time information on it under most cases, YOU SHOULD PRESS THE "PLAY" BUTTON ON YOUR DVD REMOTE CONTROL TO LET THE PHOTO CD MENU BE DISPLAYED.

while the photo vcd's menu be displayed, you can view some photo albums with their name under them, you should press the numeric key on your DVD player's remote control to choose which photo album should be displayed.

While the photo album being display, you can press the "Next" and "Prev" button on your DVD player's remote control to browse the photo slide show If there is no background music being added.

Adance photo slide show manually

If no background music was added to the photo album, you can advance photo slide show one by one by pressing the "Next" or "Prev" button on your remote control of DVD player.
